giving new life to old wool

We can help....

The frigid temperatures had us thinking a lot about our community of vulnerable Edmontonians. All our hand wringing was not helping anyone. So…. we've decided to do something. Here’s what we’ve come up with and we’d love your support! From today until March 31, 2024 we will donate 100% of all sales of EVERYTHING—skirts, mittens, bags, neck warmers, key chains, ponchos and blankets, to the Hope Mission. You can shop online as always or meet us in person at Jenn’s house to try on some of our woolly items. If you decide to donate $50 directly to the Hope Mission, let us know and we’ll GIVE you a pair of medium mittens!

jj wool company

In late November 2013, we began sewing mittens from recycled wool sweaters as a fund raiser for a once in a lifetime charity bike ride the following year. We reached our goal and then rode 1800 kms home from Haida Gwaii, BC with a custom carved totem pole, which you can now see at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton. The demand for these mittens and the amount of fun we had creating these little works of art moved us, literally, and after much deliberation, we created the jj wool company!

But we haven’t just stood still… we continue to ride our bikes everywhere and are constantly inspired by the variety of gorgeous wool garments we've found. We've created a whole bunch of new clothing and accessories... from our ‘get your ass outside’ sweater skirts to the smallest of Dumpling pouches.
